Mikhail Y. Verbitsky, Ph.D., Sc.D.

Dr. Verbitsky has managed innovation projects for Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Based on his academic research and extensive field experience, he has made important contributions to the GEN3: Innovation Discipline (G3:ID) methodology development, especially in the areas of product portfolio diagnostics and innovation agenda development.
Before joining GEN3, Dr. Verbitsky worked as Director of Software Applications and Training for Invention Machine Corporation and as a Research Scientist at Yale University. He has been honored with visiting research and professorship positions at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Université Catholique de Louvain (Institute D'Astronomie et de Geophysique G. Lemaitre). In 2002-2004, he served as the guest professor for the System Architecture course at MIT.
Dr. Verbitsky is recognized for his pioneering research in different areas of geophysical fluid dynamics. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics from the Institute of Oceanology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow. In addition, he has been awarded a Doctor of Science Degree in Physics and Mathematics by the Supreme Attestation Commission of Russia, which is granted to scientists who establish novel directions in science. He holds the title of Associate Professor from the Russian Academy of Sciences and has authored two books, 85 scientific papers, 4 patents, and a number of educational courses.
